TenkileThe Tenkile Conservation Alliance (TCA), a Papua New Guinean non-government organization, aims to save the critically endangered Tenkile Tree Kangaroo, or Scott's Tree Kangaroo and Weimang from becoming extinct. Both Kangaroos are classified as critically endangered by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources-Redlist 2010). TCA works closely with the 50 villages to maximize the probability of survival of a naturally evolving population of Tenkile and other Tree Kangaroos in the Torricelli Mountains. read more...
