Oskar Blues Sustainable Farm

Description

Geoff Hess gives us a tour of Oskar Blues Farm, outside Longmont, CO. The foundation for Hops and Heifers Farm is the integration of efficient sustainable agriculture with the values and stewardship of yester year’s family farm. A crucial part of that foundation is the ability to seamlessly integrate the Brewery waste outflows into productive farm inflows. By being dedicated to an all-natural, locally grown approach, we give back to our community freshly crafted, farm raised products.

The farm currently grazes 100% Oskar Blues raised Black Angus cattle that are part of the sustainable model at the Hops & Heifers farm. In addition, the ranch hosts 3,500 hop plants across 2 acres.
