Connecting with Carnivores

Description

How does one monitor elusive bear populations in a rugged wilderness landscape like the North Cascades?

The park's wildlife biologist demonstrates some innovative techniques that include barbed wire, fish oil, and high-tech cameras. Through this work, he and others are determining how highways may divide ecosystems and act as barriers for animals.
