Earth Protect, Inc. and Ruby Canyon Engineering, Inc. are pleased to announce that they have entered into a Sustainability Teaming Agreement, which enables the companies to offer a broader suite of sustainability services to their clients. The companies are headquartered in Colorado and assist clients on environmental and sustainability projects in the U.S. and abroad.
On behalf of both companies, Dr. Carol Barbeito, Earth Protect's President, said, "We think President Obama's executive actions in October 2014 promoting community esilience along with the United Nations' Climate Change Conference in Paris later this year will drive renewed action by both the public and private sectors in achieving long term environmental, economic, and social sustainability goals."
Each company's core capabilities are different but complimentary. Ruby Canyon, an ANSI accredited body and subcontractor to U.S. EPA's Climate Change Division, is a national leader in quantifying carbon footprints and verifying greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction projects. "We work in all North American carbon markets, helping develop reporting protocols and verification procedures along with identifying best practices for GHG emission reduction projects throughout the world," said Michael Coté, Ruby Canyon's President. He explained that the analytic, engineering, and scientific skills required for reducing GHG emissions provide the technical foundation needed to develop, measure, and verify efforts to achieve sustainability goals and objectives. Ruby Canyon offers technical services such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Carbon Footprint Verification (CFV), sustainability reporting and assurance, and green auditing.
Earth Protect emphasizes communication, citizen engagement, and video sustainability and corporate social responsibility reporting. With more than 3,000 environmental videos on its website and over 14 million hits, Earth Protect and its sustainability services division, Earth Protect Productions, seek to inform and inspire the public to move from "image to action" to improve the environment and their communities. "While good science, data analytics, and economic metrics are the foundation for sustainability, we believe informed citizen engagement and market driven solutions are essential to developing sustainability on a global scale." said Dr. Barbeito.
Jessica Stavole, leading RCE's expansion into the sustainability field, said, "By working together, we will provide both scientific and messaging capabilities to enable our clients to address the challenges of developing a sustainable world in the 21st Century".
