About 2 years ago, Diwen met Grant and Carol Barbeito, Earth Protect Vice President and President at a Conference in New Zealand. Diwen is Chinese by birth and had just completed a management degree from University of Waikato. Her interest in helping people and the environment along with her enthusiasm, talents and winning personality resulted in an invitation to be a Earth Protect's first International Youth Fellow.
Diwen has made many contributions in her role including helping develop outreach in New Zealand and China with media and among people and organizations.She has translated press releases to Mandarin. Her latest outreach resulted in a new nonprofit partner for Earth Protect, Global Volunteer Network. Diwen is currently employed as the Administrator supporting the Volunteer Coordinators of GVN.
