Reznick Think Energy has an exciting opportunity for developers, engineers, EPCs and financiers interested in working on high profile renewable energy projects. We are working with Carbon War Room to help Necker Island, the Caribbean island owned by Sir Richard Branson, to transition away from fossil fuels and increase their use of renewable energy. This effort dovetails with a larger Carbon War Room initiative to engage in sustainable technologies, products and services on islands.
We will be putting together a request for proposals (RFP) to seek parties that could facilitate renewable energy integration on Necker Island. It would be the responsibility of the winning bidder(s) to design, procure, install, and commission the projects. There may also be opportunities to participate in ongoing operation and maintenance (O&M) activities. We currently envision that these projects will be financed through a power purchase agreement (PPA); bidders may be the financier that would own the project, or bidders may be asked to partner with a financier that would take project ownership.
