Mountain Pine Tree feeds grizzlies threatened

Climate change, beetles, and disease imperiling long term survival of high elevation pine tree, key source for grizzly bears and found across the US West. Fish and Wildlife Study published Wed. would protect the whitebark pine tree under Endangered Species Act. The trees can live up to 1,000 years and are at elevations up to 12,000 feet, conditions too harsh for most trees to survive.
