Business Development and In-house Counsel
Collon's primary business responsibilities include strategic planning and developing collaborative alliances and outreach efforts with public agencies and private companies to expand existing operations.
He has over 25 years experience as a senior manager and executive for major natural resource and energy companies, where he was responsible for directing day-to-day operations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Collon is a member of the Colorado Bar Association having earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame. His primary focus is directed to business enterprises committed to addressing the challenges of climate change and sustainability.
Collon also serves as outside counsel and business consultant to Ruby Canyon Engineering, Inc., an environmental engineering firm in Grand Junction, CO. Ruby Canyon is a leading ANSI accredited green house gas (GHG) verifier of methane mitigation projects. Working in collaboration with RCE personnel, he has co-authored numerous presentations and whitepapers for EPA’s Coalbed Methane Outreach Program focusing on business, legal, and regulatory issues and challenges associated with coal mine methane emissions in the U.S. and abroad.
Collon is a member of the Executive in Residence Program at Denver University’s Daniels College of Business.
