Finalists Announced for the 2014 Pacific Defense Energy Technology Challenge at Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit, Honolulu, HI
Challenge awardees to showcase their energy solutions to military leadership in Honolulu; submissions for Austin Defense Energy Challenge due Friday August 8th.
HONOLULU, Aug. 8, 2014 -- The 5th bi-annual Defense Energy Technology Challenge awardees will present their energy technology solutions during the Pacific Defense Energy Summit in Honolulu Hawaii, September 15-17, 2014. This program is co-located with the Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit and the Asia Pacific Resilience Innovation Summit, convening global leadership across the resilience pillars of energy, agriculture, water and security.
Over 200 companies submitted into the Pacific Defense Energy Technology Challenge, with 20 selected to be presenting awardees and an expected 50 to showcase their solutions on-site during the summit. The fall Defense Energy Technology Challenge, held in Austin TX, is still accepting submissions through Friday, August 8th. The fall Challenge is held during the Defense Energy Summit (DES), November 11-13 in Austin, delivering technology solutions for installation and operational energy missions of the U.S. military. The DES is co-located with the Fall SBIR/STTR Conference, brining program leadership representing over $2.5B in non-diluted funds from all DOD SBIR agencies/components, including DOD, Army, Navy, Air Force, DARPA, DTRA, DHS, SOCOM, and MDA.
